Dara Sidhu holds a masters of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, a Bachelor's of Education, and holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology, while completing a Minor in Counselling and Human Development at Simon Fraser University. His work experience comes from years of working with youth and adult groups within multiple municipal, non-for-profit, clinical, and educational settings. The field of psychology, counselling, and the art of ‘helping’ have been Dara’s passions from as early as he can remember. Dara feels that he has endured multiple hardships in his life, yet due to these events, he feels that it has provided him an increased ability to understand and empathize with the struggle of others. His compassion and excitement in the counselling field is consistent and present- it is matched with knowledge of multiple counselling modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Based Therapy. He looks forward to providing his clients with a safe space to feel accepted, understood, and to help heal.
