Christian is a dedicated Registered Massage Therapist who brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for health and wellness to Roam. After earning his Kinesiology degree from UBC in 2016, Christian completed his massage therapy training at Langara College. His background in kinesiology and his hands-on experience in the sports and fitness fields have equipped him with a unique, holistic approach to patient care.
Prior to joining Roam, Christian served as the Fitness Coordinator at UBC Bodyworks, where he led classes in cardiac rehabilitation, joint replacement education, seniors’ weight training, and personal training. His teaching background has given him strong communication skills, which he integrates into his practice to ensure his clients feel supported and well-informed.
Christian is passionate about combining massage therapy with other interventions, such as physiotherapy and strength training, to empower his clients. He believes that through tailored treatments, movement-based strategies, and education, his clients can build self-efficacy and resilience for long-term health.
Outside of work, Christian enjoys staying active with backcountry hiking, camping, and practicing combat sports like MMA, Muay Thai, and boxing. He is also an enthusiast of strength training, particularly using Kettlebells and TRX suspension training.
Christian is bilingual and speaks fluent Tagalog, adding another layer of connection and care for his diverse clientele.
